I'm not sure how memory will serve for this post because I'm sick and the performance this past weekend seem like they took place so long ago. I do think the shows went better than they did the performance before. But only because, in general I feel first shows are always a little rough; you don't know how the audience will like it and people feel those doubts most heavily the first time out the gate. They moved well but ran long for Laughtrack (the first show was 26 minutes long and the second show was 30 minutes in length).

We changed our ask-for from "momentous occasion" to "a big event where people gather." The first show suggestion was "Super Villain Convention" and the second suggestion was "Wedding."

8pm - "Super Villain Convention" (8:00 - 8:30)
First Group -
-Scott and John (putting up streamers - event about to start)
-Squire and Jen (Scarecrow will win the Best Super Villain of the Year due to the help of Jen's character and Scarecrow wants a date with Jen)
-Larissa and Monica (Best friends trying to stop the Super Villain Convention because Monica's dad is a villain - outside the doors of the convention center)
Second Group
-Squire and Larissa (The scarecrow is trying to scare Larissa to gain street cred, does poorly but wants Larissa to pretend he did it so he can get the girl)
-Monica and John (John is my father and I want him to change his ways although I feel bad that he thinks he's no good as a villain.)
-Scott and Jen (on opposing sides because Jen wants Squire's character to get Best Super Villain this year and Scott's character wants to be it also.)
Third Group
-Scott, Monica, Larissa (Jen walk on)
-Squire, Jen, John
Fourth Group
- RUNNING
Fifth Group
- Best Super Villain is . . . John's character and he fights the other two villains.

10p - "Wedding" (10:00-10:30)
First Group -
- Monica and Scott - best friends, Monica doesn't want to get married, Scott's character could be a potential amour if not married. Scott says I have to go through with it.
- Squire and Larissa - photographers and all-around wedding help.
- Jen and John - suffocating mother and insufferable son and groom.
Second Group -
- Monica and Larissa (Jen walk thru) - Larissa is a bridesmaid, I'm locked in my car not wanting to go into the chapel. Jen is my mother-in-law telling me that I need to get in the chapel.
- John and Scott - Scott is keeping John from seeing me and tells John that he just might object when they ask if there is any one that doesn't want to see these two people wed.
- Jen and Squire - Jen is making sure everything is going perfectly and Squire plays the role of confidant and tells the mother that she won't have her son to herself anymore.
Third Group
- Monica, Scott, and Larissa - taking bride photos and I start crying because I don't want to get married.
- Jen, John, and Squire - taking photos of the mother and son for the wedding album.
Fourth Group
- RUNNING
Fifth Group
- The service, Scott is the man of honor and the priest. He does the service and objects. Lights go out when Jen lunges for Scott.

Overall, I think that we were all pretty happy with the performances in general. There are always things that we can do better but we're still working on it. For myself, I try to focus on the time, location, and name stamps, while creating a character and relationship with the person that I'm on stage with.

Our first night of shows have come to pass. I don't think they were great but I don't think they were bad either. So here is the breakdown of how ours is structured with the coaching of Jeff Griggs:

We have six players. I'll be breaking down the scenes into groupings that were created based on the idea that we have six players in total.

First group - 3 scenes, two players in ea. scene
Second group - 3 scenes, two players in ea. scene (possible intro of tertiary char. - to do walk throughs only not as main characters of the scenes.)
Third group - 2 scenes, three players in ea. scene
Fourth group - RUN of scenes
Fifth group - Group scene (time of event)

Saturday Shows:
The two Close Quarters averaged 22 minutes in length.
Suggestion at 8p was "Honeymoon" and the suggestion at 10p was "First Orgasm"

8pm - "Honeymoon" (7:30 - 8:00)
First Group -
-Larissa walk on, Jen and Scott (talking about the honeymoon tradition about having sex w/mom and wife)
-Larissa and Monica (I didn't want to do my part in the honeymoon tradition)
-John and Squire (John wanted Squire to be his brother-in-law)
Second Group
-John and Scott (John doesn't like him - Okinawan versus Japanese)
-Monica and Squire (hallway - I like him)
-Larissa and Jen (mother and daughter moment)
Third Group
-Scott, Monica, Squire
-Larissa, Jen, John
Fourth Group
- RUNNING
Fifth Group
- Tied him up and will begin tradition, Squire and I watch and John puts on the robe. Scott is resigned. End of show line, "Oh, Hell!"

10p - "First Orgasm" (7:00-7:30)
First Group -
- Larissa does walk through (Norma), Monica's looking for a contact (Mom), Jen is helping me (Mae - daughter). Monica divulges that she hired someone to have sex with Norma.
- Larissa and Scott (help finding contact - talk of plowing)
- Squire and John (Pimp and Muscle - ho is holding out)
Second Group -
- Monica and Scott
- John and Larissa
- Jen and Squire
Third Group
- Monica, Scott, and Larissa
- Jen, John, and Squire
Fourth Group
- RUNNING
Fifth Group
- Mae to have her moment. But Jen and Squire have sex on the outside of the door instead.

Overall I think we did a good job. I think most people always feel a little weird when you do your first show but I also don't think it's a good litmus test for what one needs to fix in a show to make it better.

For me, I think I need to focus on the relationship with the person that I'm on stage with in the first group of scenes versus the overall story. I need to overdo time, location and name stamps.
